Bernie will be joining the Steve Kimock Band tonight at Stage 48 in New York City from 7pm – 10pm. The Steve Kimock Band features Bernie Worrell on keyboards, Andy Hess on bass, Wally Ingram on drums and percussion and Johnny Morgan on drums. 11th Hillside Food Outreach Gala a Success
February 2nd, 2013 admin The charity organization near and dear to Bernie’s heart had its 11th annual gala last night, January 26, 2013 at the Matrix Banquet & Conference Center in Danbury, Connecticut. The
night was filled with one event after another, a silent auction, dinner, musical performances by some local talent, a live auction, interview roundtable with legendary sports stars, a live performance by Bernie and his band, along with a live performance with the honored guest performer, Paul Simon. The room was filled with supporters of the Hillside Food Outreach organization as they browsed the many items part of the silent auction. Some of the items in the silent auction included a signed baseball bat by Bernie Williams, a trip to a Tuscany villa, a number of Yankees signed baseball items, Georgetown Cupcakes gift basket, La Gravinese Jewelers gift certificate and gift basket, a day in the press box with Sweeny Murti at a Yankees game, tickets to a Caramoor Music festival, wine basket, and so much more. Many were in awe of the plethora of items to bid on during this portion of the evening.
Once the silent auction was complete, everyone moved into the grand banquet hall where tables were set in standout fashion. On Saturday, January 26, 2013 Bernie Williams will host his Annual “Speak Out Against Hunger” Fundraising Event at the Matrix Conference and Banquet Center in Danbury, CT with a special musical performance by the legendary Paul Simon. Special player guests include Williams’ former 1996 World Series Yankee teammates David Cone, Tim Raines and Cecil Fielder.
The Event will benefit the HILLSIDE FOOD OUTREACH, a 501c3 nonprofit that provides food for those in need throughout Fairfield, Putnam and Westchester Counties.
